President of the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Workers in the Oil and Gas Industries, and in the Construction of the Oil and Gas Complex
A. Korchagin was born on 2 July, 1970 in Serov, Sverdlovsk region.
Education
In 1993 he graduated from Ufa State Aviation Technical University, majoring in «Machinery and Foundry Technology», and received the qualification of mechanical engineer.
Second higher education: in 2008, he graduated from the Academy of Labour and Social Relations, majoring in «Organisation Management», candidate of economic sciences.
From 2013 to 2014, he underwent professional retraining at M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University under the programme for training the basic level of the management personnel reserve.
Employment
In 1988-1989 he performed active military service.
In 1993-2003 he worked as the senior mechanic, the supervisor at the loading and unloading section, the chief mechanic of the production and technical service of Tyumentransgaz LLC material and technical supply and completion department, the deputy director, the director, the head of Tyumentransgaz LLC material and technical supply and completion base.
In 2003-2016 he worked as the Chairman of the United Trade Union Organisation of Tyumentransgaz, later renamed Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk.
From 2016 to the present he works as the President of the Russian Oil, Gas and Construction Workers’ Union (ROGWU).
Work in the public sphere
From 2006 to 2016 he was the Deputy (IV- V convocations) and the Deputy Chairman of the Duma of Yugorsk.
From 2016 to the present - Member of the Council for Professional Qualifications in the Oil and Gas Sector.
From 2017 to the present - Member of the Council of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of the Russian Federation.
From 2017 to the present - Co-chairman of Working Group № 6 in the field of socio-economic problems of Russia's northern regions of the Russian Trilateral Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labour Relations.
From 2017 to the present - Coordinator of IndustriALL's Russian affiliates.
From 2017 to the present - President of the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Workers in the Oil and Gas Industries, and in the Construction of the Oil and Gas Complex.
From 2021 to the present - President of the Association of Trade Unions of Basic Industries and Construction of the Russian Federation.
From 2021 to the present - Member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
From 2022 to the present - President of the General Confederation of Trade Unions.
Awards
He was honoured with Letters of Thanks from the Chairman of the Duma of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region - Yugra, the Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region - Yugra, and the Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom PJSC.
He was awarded Certificates of Honour of the Tyumen Regional Duma, the Head of Yugorsk, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Badge «For Services to the City of Yugorsk of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region – Yugra».
He was awarded the title «Company Veteran of Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk LLC ».
He was honoured with awards of the Interregional Trade Union Organization Gazprom PJSC, the ROGWU, and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia.
